Welcome to New South Wales Leaders

New South Wales Leaders inspires the next generation of leading companies. New South Wales Leaders assists our private sector companies through the sharing of experience and leadership from our Industry Partners, in conjunction with the knowledge and expertise of our Industry Experts.

New South Wales Leaders selects leading private or unlisted public New South Wales companies to become Members. Members undertake a structured program over a 12 month period where they receive the knowledge, skills, networks and capital necessary to become the next generation of leading companies headquartered in the State.

New South Wales Leaders assists Members to achieve sustainable growth, manage succession planning and evaluate entry and exit strategies for their business. Each year, up to 25 organisations are selected to engage through the Executive Series, which also includes a further 2 years' Alumni Membership.

Further to this, up to 100 Regional Members participate via the Regional Series, providing ongoing professional development and networking online in linking the Executive Series content with the opportunities to expand their business.

In addition, New South Wales Leaders also supports up to 16 Future Leaders each year. They participate in the Future Leaders Series, providing the insights and skills to ensure the foundations of their business are sound while developing the strategies and resources required to progress their opportunity.

The first task to keep on your to-do list, is managing key business functions: you’ve reached management level because you’re the best person to handle these jobs. It was the mid-1990s and young entrepreneur Jamie Pherous had set up a small travel agency in the Brisbane CBD, focusing on the corporate market. In a far cry from his former high-paying job at global accounting giant Arthur Andersen's business advisory group, he was cold-calling local businesses to pitch for the role as travel manager.
